I’m not in the mood to do a typical first of the month post… so I’m going to tell you why I LOVE September instead.
- My birthday. DUH. September 6th. This Sunday. If you don’t wish me happy birthday on the phone, Facebook, Twitter, whatever, I’m going to hunt you down and kill you. Just kidding… or am I? (I’m turning 19, in case you weren’t keeping track.)
- You’re already adjusted back at school. Well, those of us in the Midwest are.
- Labor Day = a day off school. I have three classes on MWF, one on TR. Labor Day is on a Monday. I totally did that on purpose.
- The weather is phenomenal. The leaves start to change, the temperature drops (although it did that already like two weeks ago… no days higher than 80 in late August in Kansas… YES PLEASE!) and you want to spend every waking minute either outside or with your windows wide open. This is also a pro because it forces you to actually get to know those damn neighbors that cause commotion outside 24/7.
- I’m 99.9% there are more, but that’s all I can think of off the top of my head, and I am EXHAUSTED.
The only reason I dislike September, really just fall in general? MY ALLERGIES GO BANANAS. I’ve been dying every morning in class for a week now. I’m fairly certain my classmates think I either 1) have swine flu with the amount of coughing/sniffing I’ve been doing or 2) am hungover with how bloodshot my eyes are after I wake up.
YAY SEPTEMBER, I LOVE YOU!!!!
