Len: She and I have been best friends since the fifth grade. We learned our parents were building houses in the same neighborhood, so we became fast friends due to the convenience and being the only girls our age living there. Len is so completely different from me, but somehow we balance each other out and after all these years, we are sisters for life. (We’re also pregnant with girls together… on accident… she’s due two weeks after me.)

Hillary: My SuperStarSkater/Kansas City best friend. We became friends in February of 2008 after we realized we have the same taste in music. She is the most amazing skater I know In Real Life, and also the nicest person I’ve ever met! We do completely random shit together, like take impromptu roadtrips and go swinging at midnight to watch for shooting stars.

Will: My baby brother, age sixteen, junior in high school. He’s into guitar, drums, bass, okay music in general, and eating enough for an entire small third-world country. And he has my old car, aka THE BEST CAR IN THE ENTIRE WORLD.

Emma: My pseudo-little sister. I’ve known this kid since she was nine years old, and now she’s in the eighth grade at my old private school. Emma was also a figure skater, and is now battling middle school issues (plus her parents’ divorce) with wisdom and grace.

Arabella: Born February 9, 2009, Arabella Jane was a longhaired Miniature Dachshund, and totally chill for a puppy. She loved licking people, tummy rubs, and rawhide sticks. Bella died on February 6, 2010, from unknown causes.

Isabella: Isabella Nicole is a West Highland White Terrier, born December 15, 2009. She’s crazy hyper, chews EVERYTHING, and doesn’t listen to a word I say. But, Izzie IS cute, she doesn’t pee on my bed, and my cousins love her.
